Instead Fred swings a club at anything within reach, rolls a limited supply of bowling balls along the ground and throws rocks at trouble further away. Managing that small arsenal is much of the game, since ammunition runs down and the club asks you to get close, and the cartridge supports two players as well.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe Flintstones has a reputation now for being the Genesis game most of its audience missed, and the pleasant surprise is that it is a decent platformer underneath the story. Bedrock suits the hardware, the weapon juggling gives the stages more thought than a straight run and jump, and Fred is an enjoyable character to steer.
