Gear you find along the way lets you break through surfaces, survive cold and water and light your way deeper in, while Ma Fratelli, Cousin Pipsqueak and her two sons do their best to stop you. The hideout is a puzzle box, and the pleasure of the game lies in mapping it yourself, remembering which wall gave way and which door led somewhere new.
