Mega Man ZX - Advent - for NDS

Mega Man ZX Advent landed on the Nintendo DS in 2007, developed by Inti Creates and published by Capcom. It is a side scrolling action platformer with heavy shooting, and it stands out for putting a real choice at the front of the game: you pick between two mega metal heroes, Grey or Ashe. Each Mega Man follows a unique and exciting adventure that is linked with the other hero's story, so Mega Man ZX Advent effectively delivers twice the action, with bold new gameplay elements layered over the speed and precision the series is known for.

The core of the game is the dynamic Biometal system, which lets you transform into 14 different battle forms, each with its own weapons, movement and rhythm in a fight. Grey and Ashe bring their own abilities to those transformations, and their separate but connected storylines give you a good reason to run the campaign twice. Area Expansion opens up new parts of the world as you progress, along with access to additional quests, so exploring keeps paying off. Two players can link wirelessly for cooperative play or face each other in competitive matches.

Players keep coming back to Mega Man ZX Advent for the way it balances high intensity action with room to experiment: no two trips through the Biometal roster feel quite the same, and the twin perspectives of Grey and Ashe make the story worth replaying. It sits at a late and confident point in Capcom's long run of handheld platformers, which makes it a satisfying piece for anyone building a Mega Man shelf. For collectors and for players who simply want a demanding, generous action game on Nintendo DS, Mega Man ZX Advent earns its place.
