Rugrats: Scavenger Hunt is a board game for the Nintendo 64, developed by Realtime Associates Seattle Division and published by THQ in 1999. It was the cartoon babies' first appearance on the console, and rather than retell an episode it builds something new: three separate board games set in 3D worlds, with the animation and humor of the series carried across. Rugrats: Scavenger Hunt is about tracking down hidden objects while the board does its best to get in your way.

Pick a baby from Tommy, Chuckie, Phil or Lil, then use a spinner to decide how far you move, exactly as you would at the kitchen table. The three boards are The Pirate Treasure Hunt, where the babies search underwater; Angelica's Temple of Gloom, a race to gather the pieces of Stu's broken Aztec statues before Angelica gets there; and Reptar Rally, which sends everyone after sweets on Candy Island. Trick spaces keep things lively: land on Spike the Dog and you ride the pet five spaces, land on a Dil space and Dil comes out to shuffle the board. Each baby also has an energy meter, and if it empties you are off for a nap. Up to four players can take part.

Rugrats: Scavenger Hunt still gets played because it works as a family game first and a licensed game second. The spinner and the trick spaces mean a younger player can win, and the jokes land for anyone who grew up with the show. For collectors it is a notable cartridge, the first Rugrats game on the Nintendo 64, from the stretch when THQ was turning Nickelodeon shows into console games. Rugrats: Scavenger Hunt belongs beside the other four player Nintendo 64 party titles, and it comes out whenever the group includes someone small.
